Traditional slow-release fertilizers often rely on urea coated in plastic to control how nutrients are released. As those coatings break down, they do not fully disappear, leaving behind residual plastic in the soil. In some cases, that can add up to a significant amount from a single bag, impacting soil quality and long-term plant health.
ProPeat takes a different approach. Instead of using plastic coatings, it combines ammonium sulfate, Magnum 52 phosphate, and sphagnum peat into uniform, homogeneous granules. The carbon-rich peat acts as a natural carrier that holds and delivers nutrients efficiently without introducing plastics into the soil.
