What Sets
ProPeat® Apart?

ProPeat® is the only fertilizer on the market that uses peat moss instead of plastic coatings to control nutrient release. The peat binds nutrients and moisture directly into the soil, allowing plants to absorb what they need naturally.

01

No
Plastic Coatings

Nutrients are held naturally by peat moss, not synthetic shells that break down into the soil.

02

Consistent,
Predictable Results

Each pellet contains the same nutrient blend, helping avoid patchy growth or over-application.

03

Built for
Regulated Environments

Effective where fertilizer use is tightly controlled, including golf courses and Midwest municipalities.

Backed by Research

UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA 2015 FIELD TRIAL

In a controlled turfgrass study conducted by the University of Florida, ProPeat fertilizer was tested alongside several commonly used slow-release products to see how it performs in real growing conditions.

CONSISTENT VISUAL QUALITY

ProPeat maintained turf quality above the minimum acceptable level for nearly 100 days after application. It performed better than untreated turf and held up well compared to industry standards.

STRONG GREEN COVER

When measured every other week, plots treated with ProPeat held about 80% green cover throughout most of the study period. That was as good or better than some other slow-release products tested.

EFFICIENT NUTRIENT USE

In a “light dose” version of the test where ProPeat was applied with much less nitrogen than the other treatments, it still delivered a turf response similar to several other fertilizers, even though it used about a third of the nitrogen.

Key Takeaway:

ProPeat performed similarly to or better than established slow-release fertilizers in maintaining turf quality and green cover over time. It held up well in a real field setting while using nutrients efficiently.
